Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 2 years of Cardiac Cath Lab experience.

• Experience with Epic is required.

• AA completion required.

Requirements:

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >100 miles from facility to be submitted.

• Anyone who worked as Staff at a facility in this program in the last 12 months cannot be submitted.

• Anyone currently working at a facility in this program cannot be submitted.

Required Skills/Experience: Travelers with 1 year of experience are not accepted; 2 years minimum with coronary, structural heart, complex PCI, and peripheral experience. First-time travelers are accepted only if very experienced in coronary, structural heart, complex PCI, and peripheral cases. Tech must be able to perform table movement (panning). Arrhythmia recognition and treatment, and critical patient assessment skills are required.

Required Credentials: ARRT or CCI-RCIS is accepted. AA or AAS degree required.

Special Requests: Permanent staff must wait 1 full year before returning as a traveler. Time-off requests must go through the manager. Holiday coverage may be required for 1 holiday per assignment. You can only have 1 active application for the same position (same unit & shift at the same facility). Example: if you apply for day shift, you can also apply for night shift on the same unit and facility, but you cannot apply for another day shift position on the same unit & facility.

Unit Details: Patient types and cases include coronary artery disease, STEMI, cardiogenic shock, complex total occlusions, diagnostic cardiac catheterization procedures, valvular disease, renal disease, carotid stenosis, limb salvage, peripheral stenosis, thrombosis disease, Impella insertions, and LVAD insertions. The unit uses Epic Cupid (preferred), Alaris, and Omnicell.

Shift & Scheduling: Variable shifts are kept in weekly blocks; if assigned to nights, the night schedule is for the week. Night shifts run from 1800-0600, with required coverage from 1800-2200. If there are no cases, the team can go home and sleep. Day shifts are either D10 or D12s starting at 0600. The schedule is primarily 4x10-hour day shifts (40 hours/week). Some weeks may rotate to 3x12-hour night shifts, with the option to come in early to make up the additional 4 hours. There may be occasional weeks where the total is 36 hours instead of 40. Weekend rotation is every 4th weekend. On-call is 1-2 days per week from 1630-0600 and every 4th weekend from 1630 Friday to 0600 Monday.

Floating Requirements: Will not have to float to IR; IR and Cath Lab are separate departments.
