Experience:

• 24 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 24 months of Cardiac Cath Lab experience with any experience within the last 36 months (3 years).

• 3 months of Cerner experience is preferred.

• 12 months of acute care experience.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Arizona license or compact license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.

• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: HealthTrust Program - Community Health Systems (CHS) and no current placement allowed at Program: HealthTrust Program - Community Health Systems (CHS).

Required Skills/Experience: In addition to meeting the unit experience requirements, your work experience needs to reflect at least 12 months (1 year) of uninterrupted experience working in the same unit/specialty you’re applying to. Will consider experience in PACU, ICU, telemetry, cath lab, or surgery center on a case-by-case basis.

Unit Details: Provides pre- and post-procedure care for Cath Lab patients in the Cardiac Observation Unit. Works with high-risk, high-acuity patients. Bedside procedures in COU include transesophageal echocardiography (TEE) and cardioversions (CV). Admit patients. Prep patients for Cath procedures (charting pre procedure checklist, IV start, access preparation). Prep patients for cardioversions (CV) and transesophageal echocardiograms (TEE). Recover patients following Cath who had conscious sedation. Sedate, circulate, and document bedside procedures; CV and TEE. Discharge patients (teaching, documentation, and physical discharge).

Shift & Scheduling: Varies: 3 x 12s: Days (0600-1830, 0700-1930, 0800-2030). Call is on a rotational basis, approximately once every 6 weeks, but may be as frequent as once every 4 weeks. Call includes Saturday from 0700-1700 and Sunday from 0700-1400.

7 days maximum time off

2 Charge/Lead references required from within the last 12 months
