Experience:
• 12 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.
• 2 years of Cardiac Cath Lab experience.
• 3 months of travel experience is required.
• Experience with Cerner is preferred.
• BSN completion preferred.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a District of Columbia license (required for submission).
• This role will require floating to multiple units
• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <60 miles from facility will be processed as local.
• Flu vaccination required for submission. Declinations not accepted.
• Anyone who worked as Staff at a facility in this program in the last 12 months cannot be submitted.
• Anyone currently working at a facility in this program cannot be submitted.

Additional Details:
References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years.
Required Skills/Experience: Must have 1 previous travel assignment. Required skills include diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath lab work, assisting with central line insertion/management, starting IVs, interpretation/management of dysrhythmias, isolation precautions, monitoring procedural sedation, ventilator monitoring, and PA lines.
Required Credentials: You must have a DC license in hand, but certain units accept a pending license (see the job description). MedStar will usually accept a later booking date if you have applied for DC licensure.
Special Requests: Manager may or may not interview. Clinician must be okay with this. If Clinician has questions, please email the AM. You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing. Parking has an associated cost.
Unit Details: Adult and geriatric patient population. Patient population includes CAD, PVD, lung cancer, transplant, and prostate cancer. Ambulatory procedures include interventional pulmonary, bone marrow harvest procedures, prostate fiducial radiation oncology procedures, diagnostic cath, vascular procedures, and vascular intervention.
Shift & Scheduling: Shift times may be 7:00 AM–3:30 PM or 9:00 AM–5:30 PM based on staff scheduling needs. No call. No weekends. No major holidays: New Year’s Day, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas Day.
