Shift: 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM

Experience:

• 18 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 12 months of Cardiac Cath Lab experience with 9 months within the last 12 months.

• Experience with Meditech is preferred.

• 12 months of acute care experience.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Alabama license or compact license (required after submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Local & travel allowed.

• Flu vaccination required for submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• Anyone who worked as Staff at a facility in this program in the last 6 months cannot be submitted.

• Anyone who worked as Per Diem at a facility in this program in the last 6 months cannot be submitted.

• Anyone currently working at a facility in this program cannot be submitted.

Required Skills/Experience: Cath Lab must have had a minimum of 1 year working independently in the Cath Lab procedure rooms. 2 years experience; however, will consider 18 months of experience, working under the highest level of professional license, and must have 1 year of recent experience in the field of specialty. All RNs are required to complete a Cardiac Exam during onboarding. RNs are allowed two attempts and must achieve a minimum score of 80% to pass prior to clearance. ICU and ED RNs will also be required to take an on-site test in addition to the online pre-test.

Required Credentials: Associate degree in nursing.

Unit Details: Coordinates total nursing care specific for patients undergoing invasive and non-invasive diagnostic and therapeutic cardiac procedures; participates in patient and family teaching and provides leadership by working cooperatively with other team members and disciplines in maintaining standards for professional nursing practice in the clinical setting.

Shift & Scheduling: Holidays as required by DCH. 1 weekend call Fri-Sun in a 6-week period. Weekend and holiday call includes 3-11 and/or 11-7. Must be able to respond within 20 minutes of a call-out. DCH will advise start and end times; possible 5 AM start times. Some late days during the week.

6 days maximum time off. Facility holidays: 11/26/2026, 12/24/2026, 12/25/2026, 01/01/2027. Number of holidays allowed off: 0

2 Charge/Lead/Supervisor references required from within the last 12 months
