Cardiac Cath Lab - Travel Registered Nurse - $3050 per week.

Shift: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM

Experience:

• 2 years of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 2 years of Cardiac Cath Lab experience with 12 months within the last 36 months (3 years).

• Experience with Epic is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a West Virginia license or compact license (required after submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.

• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• Flu vaccination required for submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• Anyone who worked as Staff at a facility in this program in the last 24 months cannot be submitted.

• Anyone who worked as a traveler at a facility in this program in the last 24 months cannot be submitted.

• Anyone currently working at a facility in this program cannot be submitted.

Additional Details:

Artificial nails are not allowed for any travelers. Failure to adhere could result in being sent home and/or terminated if policy is not followed.

References: At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job you're applying to.

Required Skills/Experience:
Must have experience with IABP and IVUS.

Special Requests:
Eligibility as Current/Previous Employee: cumulative experience applies for previous travelers.
Former permanent employees must have been gone for 2 years.
Former travelers who worked there for 1 full year must have been gone for 2 years.

Unit Details:
The assignment rotates between the cath lab and pre/post area.
The unit handles 2 to 9 cases on some days, averaging 4-5 cases per day.
Unit systems include Cupid, Dynamics, and Xper.
Philips telemetry is hardwired at the bedside.
Patients are cardiac adults only; common cases include peripheral procedures, cardiac catheterizations, PCI, and device procedures.
Cases include ICD and pacemaker procedures; EP cases and ablations are not performed.
The unit uses an Acist injector; training is provided, so prior familiarity is not required.
Respiratory therapy manages ventilator support from the control room.
Respiratory therapy is called from the ICU if needed.
Cardiology is on call 24/7.
Omnicell is used; some medications are mixed in the lab, and pharmacy handles several others.

Shift & Scheduling:
Regular shifts are scheduled Monday-Friday.
On-call coverage is required Monday-Friday, 1530-0700, averaging 15 days per month; call days may decrease as permanent staff are added.
Weekend coverage rotates and is required Saturday/Sunday, 0700-0700.
Holidays are covered by call 7-7.

Floating Requirements:
May be floated to Non-Invasive CV at times to start IVs.

14 days maximum time off

1 Charge/Lead/Supervisor reference required from within the last 2 years

Driver's license required for submission
