Shift: 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM

Experience:

• 18 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 2 years of Cardiac Cath Lab experience with 1 month within the last 12 months.

• Travel experience is required.

• Experience with Epic is preferred.

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience: Moderate sedation with Versed/Fentanyl, critical drip management, and monitoring and circulating cases are required.

Preferred Skills/Experience: Experience with all listed cardiac catheterization and electrophysiology case types is preferred.

Special Requests: Parking costs $47.50 per month or $23.75 for two weeks; the facility is minutes from the CTA Brown Line for public transportation.

Unit Details: The unit handles procedure lab, cardiac catheterization, and electrophysiology cases. Cardiac catheterization cases include diagnostic/interventional procedures, LHC/RCH, NSTEMI and STEMI, Impella, IABPs, Rotablator, CTOs/staged PCI, Shockwave, temporary pacemakers, peripheral leg diagnostic/intervention procedures, and loop recorders. Electrophysiology cases include Micra, pacemakers, AICDs, lead extractions/revisions, and generator changes. The average daily case load is 5-15 cases. Unit systems and equipment include Alaris IV pumps, Pyxis medication dispensing, Philips hemodynamics, Merge PACS, and a Philips C-arm.

Shift & Scheduling: On-call coverage is required for RNs. Weekend call is scheduled in 4-week increments, with two weekend shifts needed per 4-week schedule; the shifts may be Saturday and Sunday together or split. Weekday call includes 4-5 additional overnight call shifts per 4-week schedule. Call requires a 30-minute response time, and no sleep room is available. Holiday call is as needed. The schedule is made in 6-week increments; self-scheduling requires the manager’s final approval. RTO may be approved for up to 7 days.
