Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 24 months of Cardiac Cath Lab experience.

• Experience with Epic is required.

• Trauma Level 1 experience is required.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Missouri license or compact license (required after submission).

• This role will require floating to multiple units

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >75 miles from facility to be submitted.

• 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Aya Program - BJC Health System and no current placement allowed at Program: Aya Program - BJC Health System.

Additional Details:

RNs only - Clinicians who obtained RN degree outside of the U.S. and do not hold MO/IL/Compact license require extended licensing and compliance timeframe. No medical marijuana cards accepted. You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.

Required Skills/Experience: Cath lab/STEMI scrub and interventional scrub experience required. Minimum of one year of EP experience required. High-volume/high-acuity Cath lab experience required to be successful in the procedural area.

Required Credentials: Must pass the Relias EKG exam.

Special Requests: Local candidates are not accepted within 75 miles of the facility.

Unit Details: Adult patient population. Top diagnoses include AMI, chest pain, heart failure, NSTEMI, aortic stenosis, V-tach, endocarditis, Afib, peripheral vascular disease, and sick sinus syndrome. RN circulator role in the diagnostic and interventional PCI environment. Provides conscious sedation under the direction of the attending, hands off sterile supplies, assesses vitals, and will likely cross-train to run hemodynamics in the monitor tech role. Uses Impella and IABP.

Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekend. Rotating 0700-1730 shifts, with 0700-1730 late and 1000-2030 close as needed. On-call as needed, 1-2 nights per week and every 2nd-4th weekend; rotating call includes evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays and can change based on unit needs. No more than 7 days of requested time off.

Floating Requirements: Will float within service line to meet facility needs.

Details:

All time off requests must be submitted at application. Scheduling requests must be worked out with the manager directly upon starting the assignment. Any offers for this job will require a clear “Yes” or “No” response from the nurse within 24hrs or the offer must be declined.
