Shift: 11:00 AM - 11:00 PM
Experience:
• 12 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.
• 12 months of Cardiac Cath Lab experience.
• Experience with Cerner is preferred.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a Alabama license or compact license (required after submission).
• This role will require floating to multiple units
• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >60 miles from facility to be submitted.
• 6 months gap required between for Staff at Program: SimpliFi Program - Baptist Health UAB and no current placement allowed at Program: SimpliFi Program - Baptist Health UAB.

Additional Details:
Required Skills/Experience: - 1-year experience accepted only if it is interventional Cath Lab experience, not just diagnostic Cath Lab. - Required experience: STEMI/NSTEMI, LHC/RHC, CHF, angina, ACS, Afib, IABP/Impella, CTOs, staged/protected PCI, pericardiocentesis, temp pacers. - Groin site management; techs will usually pull sheaths, but RNs might and need to be okay with site management. Radial band management (VascBand), moderate sedation, able to titrate drips, knowledge of emergency drugs, able to use defib/pacer efficiently, recognizing rhythm change, and knowing when and what anticoagulant to administer. - RN does not need vent experience but needs to be comfortable with addressing vent alarms (i.e. – is it a critical alarm or an error alarm that does not need to be addressed).
Special Requests: - Only 1 active application allowed for the same position (same unit and shift at the same facility). You may apply to day and night shift openings on the same unit and facility, but not to multiple openings for the same shift on the same unit and facility. - Cannot guarantee block scheduling on the front end.
Unit Details: - 20-25 patients seen per day. - EP cases include pacemaker, MICRA, lead extractions/revisions, gen changes, and ablations. - Vascular cases include peripheral cases and carotids. - PE cases include Inari and EKOS. - Hybrid/structural cases include Watchman, TAVR, and PFOs. - If a patient is not from the ICU, they will go to the Cardiovascular Recovery (CVR) area after the case. - Lead available to use if the traveler does not have their own. - Uses XPER (Phillips system), IntellaSpace, Plum 360, Omnicell, Medtronic ACT machine, Rotapro, CSI, shockwave, laser, Rotablator, FFR, and IVUS.
Shift & Scheduling: - On call every 4th weekend, Friday EOS until Monday at 0630. - Weekday call: 1 call night per week, possibly 1 late shift per week as well. - Weekday call is EOS until 0630 the following morning. - Late shift will stay late until the cases are done but will not be on call after that. Late shift and call shift will not be worked concurrently. - Will not be on call prior to your day off. - 30-minute response time. - Schedule cycle: 3-6 weeks. - Holiday expectations: 1 major and 1 minor seasonal holiday per contract.
Floating Requirements: - Possibility of floating to IR or Cardiovascular Recovery (CVR), but prior experience with that is not required.
