Experience:
• 24 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.
• 24 months of Cardiac Cath Lab experience with 12 months worked in the last 3 years.
• Experience with Epic is preferred.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a Illinois license (required for submission).
• This role may require floating to additional units and locations
• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <50 miles from facility will be processed as local.
• 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - OSF HealthCare and no current placement allowed at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - OSF HealthCare.

Required Skills/Experience: Ability to read strips required.
Unit Details: STEMI, NSTEMI, heart failure, congenital, TAVR, MitraClip, and peripheral cases. Cath lab is separate from IR and EP. Occasional drip titration. Uses GE and Philips monitors and McKesson. Regular cases are staffed with 1 RN and 2 RTRs; call teams are 4-person teams. When the RN is on call, they act as charge nurse. Approximately 4-20 cases per day.
Shift & Scheduling: May need to stay over to complete cases if emergent cases come up. 6-8 call shifts per month, including primary call and backup call. Weekend call every 6-7 full weekends, starting Friday at 5:30pm and ending 0600 am on Monday morning. Additional weekend backup shifts occur on average once per month; these are 24 hour shifts and the RN serves as the circulator for emergent cases. Easter backup call shift.
Floating Requirements: Does not float routinely; if experienced in IR, may be shared there.
14 days maximum time off
2 Charge/Lead references required from within the last 12 months
Driver’s license required for submission
Certifications:
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
