Shift: 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM
Experience:
• 12 months of experience worked in the last 12 months.
• High School completion required.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a license (required after submission).
• This role may require floating to additional units and locations
• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.
• No previous experience allowed for Staff at Facility: CHRISTUS St. Vincent Regional Medical Center and no current placement allowed at Program: HealthTrust Program - Christus Health.
• No previous experience allowed for Part-Time at Facility: CHRISTUS St. Vincent Regional Medical Center and no current placement allowed at Program: HealthTrust Program - Christus Health.

Additional Details:
Preferred Skills/Experience: - Two years actively doing echocardiograms preferred.
Required Credentials: - A.R.D.M.S./CCI registered, registry eligible, or comparable national accreditation required.
Preferred Credentials: - Two-year allied health education program that is patient-care related preferred. Allied health occupations include but are not limited to diagnostic medical sonographer, radiologic technologist, respiratory therapist, occupational therapist, physical therapist, and/or registered nurse.
Special Requests: - Any employment gaps greater than 90 days must be explained.
Unit Details: - Performs diagnostic echocardiograms on adult and pediatric patients. - Performs 2D, M-mode, and Doppler cardiac exams. - Assists cardiologist during exam dictation by preparing and measuring M-modes and sharing pertinent diagnostic information. - Coordinates exam scheduling, patient transport, and billing information entry. - Maintains quality control of echo equipment and coordinates repairs as needed. - Assists with other cardiac procedures as needed.
Shift & Scheduling: - Weekend coverage required. - Shares responsibility for on-call coverage for echo emergency exams outside regular working hours, as established by department policy.
7 days maximum time off
1 Manager/Supervisor reference required from within the last 2 years
1 Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 2 years
Proof of identification required
Certifications:
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• RDCS (Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (ARDMS)) or the alternative certifications RCS, ACS, CI
