Shift: 7:30 AM - 3:30 PM

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

Requirements:

• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <50 miles from facility will be processed as local.

• Anyone who worked at a facility in this program in the last 12 months cannot be submitted.

• Anyone currently working at a facility in this program cannot be submitted.

Required Credentials:
Must meet at least one of the following qualifications: Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS).

Unit Details:
Cardiac sonographers perform imaging of the heart to evaluate its structure and function.
Reviews patient medical history, clinical indications, physician notes and prior cardiac imaging studies.
Obtains high-quality diagnostic images, Doppler data and myocardial strain imaging (GLS) to evaluate cardiac anatomy, function, valvular disease and hemodynamics.
Identifies abnormal findings and cardiac pathology.
Administers ultrasound-enhancing agents as needed.
Assists cardiologists during transesophageal echocardiograms (TEE).
Performs advanced imaging techniques, including three-dimensional echocardiograms.
Documents technical findings and prepares preliminary reports for physician interpretation.
Completes appropriate billing for examinations and contrast as applicable.

Shift & Scheduling:
Rotating days.
Occasional weekends and holidays.

14 days maximum time off

2 Charge/Lead/Supervisor references required from within the last 2 years

• BLS (Basic Life Support)

• RDCS (Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (ARDMS)) or the alternative certification RCS
