Shift: 10:30 AM - 6:30 PM

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 3 months of Epic experience is preferred.

• High School completion required.

Requirements:

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.

• No current placement allowed at Program: RightSourcing Program - Atlantic Health.

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience: Several years of dedicated echocardiography experience in an inpatient hospital setting is required, including strong hands-on inpatient scanning experience and the ability to perform studies in acute care environments. Dedicated inpatient echo work experience is required. Experience documented by institutional referral with a minimum of 200 inpatient cases in echocardiography. Proficiency in valvular assessment with strong spectral Doppler and Pedoff skills. Experience with contrast echocardiography and agitated saline studies. Must recognize abnormalities and quickly respond to critical findings.

Preferred Skills/Experience: Candidates whose primary focus has been echocardiography are preferred over candidates with mixed ultrasound modality experience. TEE and stress echo experience. Familiarity with 3D echo imaging. Experience with TAVR, Mitral Clip, hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, VAD, and closure device protocols. Experience maintaining ICAEL-accreditation echo lab standards.

Required Credentials: High School Diploma or GED required.

Preferred Credentials: Graduate of CAAHEP or ABHES Cardiovascular Technology Program preferred.

Unit Details: Performs adult echo studies per ASE and IAC guidelines in an inpatient acute care environment. Prepares and monitors patients throughout ultrasound procedures; reviews prior reports, images, and patient charts; ensures studies are complete and proper techniques are used; maintains exam logs, inventory, and supplies. Uses Philips ie33 and Epiq systems.

Shift & Scheduling: Either Sun-Thurs or Tues-Sat. No call.

14 days maximum time off

2 Charge/Lead references required
