Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• Experience with Epic is preferred.

• AS completion required.

Requirements:

• This role will require floating to multiple locations

• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <35 miles from facility will be processed as local.

• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience:

• Knowledge of aseptic technique and EKG rhythms.
• Ability to use electronic medical records.
• Experience with IV insertion for administration of ultrasound imaging enhancement agents and bubble studies.

Required Credentials:

• Graduate with an associate's or bachelor's degree from an accredited echocardiography program.

Special Requests:

• All RTO requests must be included at the time of submission; NMH may not honor RTO requests after submission.

Unit Details:

• Works closely with the cardiologist in the assessment and treatment of cardiac diseases.
• The echo lab serves outpatients and inpatients, including coverage at off-campus sites.
• Diagnostic ultrasound testing includes M-mode, 2D, 3D, spectral Doppler, color Doppler, tissue Doppler imaging, strain imaging, bubble studies, contrast-enhanced transthoracic echocardiograms, exercise and pharmacology stress echocardiograms, imaging for structural heart procedures, and assisting the cardiologist with both 2D and 3D transesophageal echocardiograms.

Shift & Scheduling:

• Schedule options include 7am-3:30pm, 7:30am-4pm, and 8am-4:30pm.
• No weekends.
• No call.

Floating Requirements:

• Must be willing to work at all Heart and Vascular Institute (HVI) sites on occasion.

14 days maximum time off

2 Charge/Lead/Supervisor references required from within the last 2 years

Certifications:

• BLS (Basic Life Support)

• RDCS (Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (ARDMS)) or the alternative certification RCS
