Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• Experience with Epic is preferred.

Requirements:

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <50 miles from facility will be processed as local.

• Anyone who worked as Staff at a facility in this program in the last 12 months cannot be submitted.

• Anyone currently working at a facility in this program cannot be submitted.

Additional Details:

Candidates who have 2+ years of experience, 3 days or less RTO and who can start on date posted in the position can be auto-offered.

Required Skills/Experience: Must have a minimum of 2 years experience in Adult and Peds.

Preferred Skills/Experience: Additional skills preferred: IV start, Bubble Studies & Contrast, TEE probe manipulation, intra-op structural heart, Transthoracic pediatric echo, Adult TEE/TTE.

Required Credentials: Must have RCS - CCI Cardiovascular Credentialing International on file at time of submission.

Special Requests: Must not have worked perm/per diem at NMMC in the last 12 months.

Unit Details: Patient population ranges from newborns to adults up to 99 years. Uses Charge Healthcare Cardiology. Responsibilities include conducting educational and in-service training, performing various echocardiography procedures, ensuring proper charting and filing, maintaining inventory, and participating in Performance Improvement activities.

Shift & Scheduling: Mon-Sun with rotating weekend coverage. Weekend and holiday coverage will be scheduled based upon need. Start time will depend on experience in procedures and the OR; it will be 0700, 0730 or 0800. Rotating on-call coverage includes weeknights (1630-0700) and weekends (Saturday 24 hours; Sunday 24 hours, 0700 to 0700).

Floating Requirements: All travelers are required to float to units within their competencies.

14 days maximum time off

1 Charge/Lead/Supervisor reference required from within the last 12 months

• BLS (Basic Life Support)

• RDCS (Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (ARDMS)) or the alternative certification RCS

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)

• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
