Experience:

• 2 years of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• Experience with Epic is preferred.

Requirements:

• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <50 miles from facility will be processed as local.

Additional Details:

Required Credentials: Appropriate credential in echocardiography (must have one of the following: Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer from the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography; Registered Cardiac Sonographer from Cardiovascular Credentialing International; or Canadian Registered Cardiac Sonographer from the Canadian Association of Registered Diagnostic Ultrasound Professionals).

Unit Details: Performs echocardiograms, including limited, stress, and transesophageal studies, as well as portable exams. Uses color Doppler, power Doppler, spectral Doppler, and M-mode. Obtains high-quality diagnostic images for cardiologist interpretation and prepares preliminary reports in Synapse. Uses Synapse and PACS for echocardiography image management; studies may be sent to EMMC for continuation of patient care. May place peripheral IVs for agitated saline, Definity, and stress echocardiography exams if certification requirements have been met per St. Joseph policy.

Shift & Scheduling: Must be available to work every other weekend if requested to do so by the Department Manager or Supervisor.

1 Charge/Lead/Supervisor reference required from within the last 12 months

Certifications:

• RDCS (Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (ARDMS)) or the alternative certification RCS
