Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• Travel experience is required.

• Experience with Epic is preferred.

• Trauma Level 2 experience is required.

Requirements:

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.

• 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Vaya Workforce Solutions - University of Wisconsin Health and no current placement allowed at Program: Vaya Workforce Solutions - University of Wisconsin Health.

Additional Details:

You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.

Required Skills/Experience: 7 scans/day.

Preferred Skills/Experience: Would prefer 2-3 years experience. IV certification preferred. Teaching hospital experience is preferred.

Preferred Credentials: Completion of a CAAHEP-accredited ultrasonography training program preferred. Bachelor’s degree in Ultrasonography, Radiology, Biological Sciences or a relevant health sciences field preferred.

Unit Details: Pediatric through geriatric patient population across the care continuum; mix of inpatient and outpatient settings. TAVR echocardiogram, VAD echocardiogram R/L, ECMO echocardiogram, hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, strain 3D 4D echocardiogram, Mitral Clip follow-up echo, pericardial disease/pericardiocentesis, transplant patient/heart lung liver renal. Agitated saline bubble studies. Must be able to administer ultrasound enhancement agents UEA Definity & Optison. IAC-accredited pediatric echo lab; lab imaging follows ASE transthoracic Echo protocol. Cares for patients in outpatient clinics AFCH and inpatient units including AFCH (primary), UH, UH Cath Lab and UH Emergency Department. Uses advanced ultrasound equipment and technology. Must meet expectations for pace and volume.

Shift & Scheduling: Monday - Friday and rotational Saturday and Sunday shifts. Variable start times: 700,730, 800,830,900 AM. Possible call coverage, if needed. 8 or 10-hr shifts.

Floating Requirements: Float between main UWH Highland Avenue and could rotate to 2 clinics Arbor Gate & East Madison Clinic.

14 days maximum time off

1 Manager/Supervisor reference required from within the last 12 months

1 reference required from within the last 3 years

Proof of identification required

Certifications:

• BLS (Basic Life Support)

• RDCS (Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (ARDMS)) or the alternative certifications RCS, ACS, CI
