Experience:

• 36 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• Experience with Epic is preferred.

Requirements:

• This role will require floating to multiple units

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >100 miles from facility to be submitted.

• No current placement allowed at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - Nebraska Medicine.

References: At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job you’re applying to.

Required skills/experience: Effective verbal and written communication skills required. Self-motivated and able to work independently to accomplish tasks that require self-direction required.

Preferred skills/experience: Prior cardiac and/or vascular ultrasound experience in a health care environment preferred.

Required credentials: High school education or equivalent required. Associate’s degree OR equivalent combination of education/experience from an accredited cardiac ultrasound program performing all types of cardiac ultrasound in a health care environment combined (One year of education equals one year of experience) required.

Preferred credentials: Registered in cardiac ultrasound. Associate’s degree from an accredited cardiac ultrasound program performing all types of cardiac ultrasound in a health care environment preferred. Demonstrate ability to think deductively and make clinical decisions accordingly preferred. Experience with typical office equipment (e.g., telephone, fax machine, copy machine, calculator) preferred. Experience with ultrasound equipment, transesophageal transducers, research computer systems, centricity hospital information system, and digital echo storage system preferred. Demonstrate knowledge 1 of principles and function of the cardiovascular system and vascular circulatory system, including physics and blood flow hemodynamics preferred.

Shift & schedule requirements: Call as needed

7 days maximum time off

1 Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 12 months

1 reference required from within the last 3 years

Driver’s license required for submission

• RDCS (Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer)
