Responsibilities
Support surgeons and the surgical team during operative procedures.
Anticipate the needs of the surgical team to ensure efficient workflow.
Maintain strict aseptic technique and adhere to sterile field standards.
Handle surgical instruments and supplies efficiently throughout procedures.
Follow hospital policies and AORN standards to promote patient safety and quality care.
Manage instrument decontamination and ensure proper care and maintenance of surgical equipment after procedures.
Communicate important patient and procedural information effectively with the surgical team.
Qualifications
Required: 1–3 years of healthcare experience with sterile technique knowledge
CPR certification (AHA Healthcare Provider)
CST (Certified Surgical Technologist) certification required
