Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
Experience:
• 18 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.
• 24 months of Critical Care Float Pool experience with 1 month within the last 12 months.
• Travel experience is preferred.
• Experience with Epic is preferred.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a Georgia license or compact license (required for submission).
• This role may require floating to additional units and locations
• Local & travel allowed.
• 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Simplifi Program - Advocate Health Southeast and no current placement allowed at Program: Simplifi Program - Advocate Health Southeast.

Additional Details:
Required Skills/Experience: ICU skills include arrhythmia monitoring, sedation, paralytics, titratable drips knowledge, CVP monitoring, care of s/p craniotomy patients, and TPA administration. Knowledge of cardiac drips and neuro, cardiac, pulmonary, ortho, trauma, and surgical patients. PCU skills include arrhythmia monitoring and knowledge of cardiac titratable drips. Med/Tele skills include basic arrhythmia interpretation, Foley catheter irrigation, PCA, epidural, CPM, Buck’s traction, and drain and chest tube management.
Required Credentials: CPI will be provided if not already held.
Special Requests: Up to 7 days of RTO may be approved if participating in SimpliFi Clinical Interviewing and the traveler extends the contract to accommodate.
Unit Details: Critical care float pool supports medical, surgical, neuro, and cardiac ICU patients, including drug overdose, psychosis, MI, subarachnoid hemorrhage, MVC, sepsis, ARF, AAA, acute hypoxic respiratory failure, hypoglycemia, pneumonia, and suicide attempt. Travelers are not assigned CRRT or intra-aortic balloon pump patients. May also care for neurology stepdown patients such as stroke, seizures, lumbar surgery, s/p craniotomy, lumbar drains, AMS, and aphasia; cardiac stepdown patients such as chest pain, s/p cardiac angiography with or without PTCA, CHF, cardiomyopathy, palpitations, syncope, arrhythmias, ACS, A-fib, and heart block; and observation patients with facial numbness, CAD, A-fib with RVR, stroke-like symptoms, chest pain, weakness, and acute respiratory failure. May float to med-surg areas caring for overflow and difficult-to-place patients, oncology, end-of-life and palliative care, ortho trauma, general surgery and trauma, pulmonology, vascular, and bariatric surgery populations. Ratios vary by unit: MedSurg days 1:5 and may increase to 1:6 in staffing crisis, nights 1:6; ICU 1:2 and may go up to 1:3 depending on acuity; HAU/PCU 1:3. Unit equipment includes Glucommander, cardiac monitors, Precision BBG monitor, specialty beds, bed and chair alarms, BiPap, ventilators, Alaris pumps, virtual RN, and virtual patient observer support. Department support includes CNA/nurse techs, respiratory therapists, phlebotomists, safety sitters, educators, staffing specialists, and security.
Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekend. Holiday requirement: 70% of holidays. May be placed on call if census is low; this is rare.
Floating Requirements: Floats to all med-surg and critical care areas, including ED boarders; ICU and ER may also be used.
14 days maximum time off
1 Manager/Supervisor reference required from within the last 12 months
1 Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 12 months
