Shift: 6:45 AM - 7:15 PM

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 24 months of Critical Care Float Pool experience.

• Travel experience is required.

• Experience with Epic is preferred.

• Trauma Level 1 experience is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Missouri license or compact license (required after submission).

• This role will require floating to multiple units

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >75 miles from facility to be submitted.

• 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Aya Program - BJC Health System and no current placement allowed at Program: Aya Program - BJC Health System.

Additional Details:

RNs only - Clinicians who obtained RN degree outside of the U.S. and do not hold MO/IL/Compact license require extended licensing and compliance timeframe.

No medical marijuana cards accepted.

You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.

Required Skills/Experience: Does not require specific CVICU experience. Ventilator management, IV starts, telemetry, and conscious sedation required.

Preferred Skills/Experience: Cardiac skill set preferred: Swans/hemodynamic interpretation, IABP, Impella, ECMO, vasoactive drips, and CRRT. Triage, ICP, and PA lines preferred.

Unit Details: 2:1 ratio on ICUs for all shifts. Adult and geriatric patient population; rare adolescent patients may be seen (adult size/weight, ages 16-18).

Shift & Scheduling: BJC policy: Every other weekend required. Minimum of 6 weekend shifts per 6 week schedule, plus holiday rotation.

Floating Requirements: Floating to multiple ICUs including Trauma, Oncology, Cardiac / Heart and Vascular, Neurology, Medicine, and COVID. If there are no ICU needs, will float to inpatient floors/non-critical care units including Oncology, Neurology, Med Surg, Medicine, Trauma, Heart and Vascular, and COVID as a staff nurse; inpatient floor ratio no more than 1:3; may be asked to work as a patient sitter if needed.

Details:

AUTO OFFER - NO INTERVIEW: This is an auto-offer position. You will likely not interview with the facility prior to receiving an offer. However, an interview can be arranged upon request. All time off requests must be submitted at application. Scheduling requests must be worked out with the manager directly upon starting the assignment. Any offers for this job will require a clear “Yes” or “No” response from the nurse within 24hrs or the offer must be declined.
