Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 22 months of Critical Care Float Pool experience.

• Travel experience is required.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Ohio license or compact license (required after submission).

• This role will require floating to multiple units

• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <60 miles from facility will be processed as local.

• Flu vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• Anyone who worked at a facility in this program in the last 6 months cannot be submitted.

• Anyone currently working at a facility in this program cannot be submitted.

Additional Details:

You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.

OSU requires all fingerprints to be completed within 72 hours of signing a contract for an OSU assignment. This is a client requirement, and timely completion is essential to maintaining the assignment and avoiding delays, pushes or cancellations.

Required Skills/Experience: References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years. Teaching hospital experience is required. Required skills include Medical Intensive Care Unit, Neuro Intensive Care Unit, Surgical Intensive Care Unit, interpretation of dysrhythmias, management of dysrhythmias, management of patients with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure, obtaining 12-lead EKG/ECG, and post-cardiac surgery (not directly from the OR).

Required Credentials: Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program.

Special Requests: The WB and CXS parking permits require annual payment upfront and are not available as monthly permits. The WMC monthly parking permit costs $224.80/month or $748.58 per 100 days. The WB annual permit costs $196.20/year; West Campus parking is approximately 1.7 miles from the medical center and includes Pink Shuttle service every 3–5 minutes during peak times, with an approximately 8–9-minute ride to the medical center. The CXS annual permit costs $393.96/year.

Unit Details: Adult patient population. The unit cares for kidney, liver, lung, and heart transplant patients.

Shift & Scheduling: Weekend day shifts Friday/Saturday plus 1 weekday day shift.

Floating Requirements: Floating is required to all ICUs within The Ohio State System, including MICU (two units), SICU, NCCU/Neuro ICU, CVICU, and Cardiology/Diagnostics; if there is no need in Critical Care, floating may extend throughout the organization.

14 days maximum time off. Start assignment restriction: 7 days

1 Charge/Lead/Supervisor reference required from within the last 2 years

1 Manager reference required from within the last 2 years
