Critical Care Float Pool - Travel Registered Nurse - $2690 per week.

Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 2 years of Critical Care Float Pool experience.

• Travel experience is preferred.

• Experience with Epic is required.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Louisiana license or compact license (required for submission).

• This role will require floating to multiple units

• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <75 miles from facility will be processed as local.

• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• Flu vaccination required for submission. Religious, medical, and personal declinations accepted.

• Anyone who worked as Staff at a facility in this program in the last 12 months cannot be submitted.

• Anyone currently working at a facility in this program cannot be submitted.

Additional Details:

You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.

Required Skills/Experience: - Limited neuro experience at minimum is required; candidates with no neuro experience will not be accepted. - Required special procedures include fresh post-op craniotomies, familiarity with ventilator settings, A-lines, central lines, NIH evaluations, HD managed by dialysis staff, and CRRT managed by the RN.

Special Requests: - Holiday blackout dates: 11/26, 12/24, and 12/25; RTO cannot be approved on these dates. Holiday-week RTO is likely to be denied.

Unit Details: - Adult and geriatric patient population. - This is a general ICU with a heavy focus on neuro. The NCU is primarily neuro, while the CCU and SCU can also have neuro patients. - Patient population includes neuro/stroke, vascular surgeries, multilevel back surgeries, and general critical care patients; there are no CABG patients or ECMO. - Equipment and monitoring include vents, EVD management, ICP monitoring, lumbar drains, bolts/ICP O2 monitoring, and CRRT.

Shift & Scheduling: - You must be willing to work weekends and generally just be very flexible. - Flexible contract hours: 36/48 or 48 hours per week. - Every other weekend. - No call.

Floating Requirements: - You must be willing to float. - There is no specific unit assignment; you will float between the SCU, NCU, and CCU and must also be willing to float to the ED to care for CC admits.

5 days maximum time off. Facility holidays: 11/26/2026, 12/25/2026, 01/01/2027. Number of holidays allowed off: 1
