Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM

Experience:

• 2 years of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 2 years of Critical Care Float Pool experience.

• Travel experience is required.

• Experience with Epic is required with 1 month within the last 24 months (2 years).

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Vermont license or compact license (required after submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <100 miles from facility will be processed as local.

• COVID vaccination required for submission. Declinations not accepted.

• COVID booster required after submission. Religious, medical, and personal declinations accepted.

• Flu vaccination required for submission. Medical declinations accepted.

• Anyone who worked as Staff at a facility in this program in the last 12 months cannot be submitted.

• Anyone currently working at a facility in this program cannot be submitted.

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience: - Experience with multisystem disease, CRRT, IABP, ECMO, COVID, ventilators, and multiple drips is required. - Experience in a large (500+ bed) teaching facility is required.

Special Requests: - Any employment gaps greater than 90 days must be explained. - Public transportation is not accessible in this area; please ensure you have reliable transportation, and a personal vehicle or rental vehicle is strongly recommended. - Vehicles should be equipped with all-season or snow tires during November–April.

Unit Details: - Primarily based in the Medical ICU, with neuro overflow. - Duties include starting IVs, managing multiple titrating drips, and providing critical ventilator care. - Typical patient population includes post-cardiac surgery, vascular, Level I trauma, general surgery, neurosurgery, and overflow MICU patients.

Shift & Scheduling: - Travelers must work 2 out of the 4 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, Christmas Eve, and New Year’s Day. - At least every other weekend and/or schedule adjustments to meet unit and patient-care needs are required. - The schedule may include any day from Monday through Sunday. - The schedule must be flexible.

Floating Requirements: - Travelers float first; float assignments may include units within the central ICU pool, areas outside the candidate’s pod, units of like skill and ability, ED boarders, and possible surge areas. - Required to float to SICU, Miller 3, and Miller 4.

• AUTO OFFER - NO INTERVIEW: This is an auto-offer position. You will likely not interview with the facility prior to receiving an offer. However, an interview can be arranged upon request. All time off requests must be submitted at application. Scheduling requests must be worked out with the manager directly upon starting the assignment. Any offers for this job will require a clear “Yes” or “No” response from the nurse within 24hrs or the offer must be declined.
