Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Experience:

• 24 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 36 months of Critical Care Float Pool experience with 12 months worked in the last 3 years.

• Experience with Cerner is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Texas license or compact license (required after submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Local & travel allowed.

• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - (TX) CommonSpirit Health and no current placement allowed at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - (TX) CommonSpirit Health.

• 12 months gap required between for Per Diem at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - (TX) CommonSpirit Health and no current placement allowed at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - (TX) CommonSpirit Health.

Required Credentials: - Must pass a Basic Dysrhythmia/EKG exam during onboarding.

Special Requests: - Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained. - Cannot have worked at any CommonSpirit location within the last 12 months. - Cannot apply to more than one job order on the same unit and shift at the facility. - No previous employment allowed at this facility.

Unit Details: - Ratios: 2:1 in ICU, at times 3:1 depending on acuity; 4:1 on PCU. - Patient population includes cardiac patients post CABG or PCI, sepsis, DKA, and respiratory failure. - RNs are required to titrate drips including Levophed, amiodarone, heparin, precedex, propofol, cardene, nitro, neosynephrine, and dopamine. - Uses Paragon. - Equipment includes vents, Bipap, and Airvo. - Bedside monitors, monitor bank at charge desk, and Monitor Tech on site. - No aides normally in ICU; 1-2 in PCU per shift. - Intensivist in house during the day; hospitalists available all hours.

Shift & Scheduling: - Expect to work 4 shifts a week. - Usually every other weekend, depending on coverage. - Holiday requirement depends on coverage. - No call or standby requirement.

Floating Requirements: - Expect to work either ICU or PCU with occasional floating to other departments if necessary.

7 days maximum time off. Facility holidays: 11/26/2026, 12/25/2026, 01/01/2027. Number of holidays allowed off: 1. Start assignment restriction: 14 days
