Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 22 months of Critical Care Float Pool experience.

• Travel experience is required.

• Experience with Epic is required.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Ohio license or compact license (required after submission).

• This role will require floating to multiple units

• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <60 miles from facility will be processed as local.

• 6 months gap required between for Any Contract Type at Program: Aya Program - Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center and no current placement allowed at Program: Aya Program - Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center.

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience: Teaching hospital experience required. IV start, telemetry, and ventilator management experience required.

Required Credentials: Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program. References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant specialty experience within the past 3 years.

Special Requests: Cannot apply to any Ohio State University facilities if you have an active application to any of the James Cancer Hospital & Research facilities.

Unit Details: Adult critical care float pool working across Neuro ICU, Surgical ICUs, Medical ICUs, Cardiology/Diagnostics, CVICU, and NCCU. Transplant patient population includes kidney, liver, lung, and heart. Equipment includes temp pacer, EVD, CT, and vent.

Shift & Scheduling: Weekend nights Friday/Saturday plus one additional day. Minimum every other weekend.

Floating Requirements: Required to float within units of equivalent or lower acuity. Will float to different units within the OSU organization as needed. Nurses will float to a variety of ICUs based on staffing and patient acuity, including: - Neuro ICU - Surgical ICUs - Medical ICUs (MICU x2) - Cardiology/Diagnostics - CVICU - SICU / MICU / NCCU

14 days maximum time off. Start assignment restriction: 7 days

1 Manager/Supervisor reference required from within the last 2 years

1 Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 2 years

Proof of identification required

Certifications:

• BLS (Basic Life Support)

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)

• NIHSS (NIH Stroke Scale)
