Job Summary and Qualifications

1. Demonstrates sound knowledge and proficiency in the use of CAT Scan and MRI equipment,

including MRI breast biopsy.

2. Perform CAT Scan exams per protocol in a timely manner. Perform MRI exams per protocol on

a variety of different body parts in a timely manner.

3. Complete appropriate history forms and medication reconciliation forms as needed.

4. Complete consent forms.

5. Stock rooms with supplies.

6. Check labs when necessary and demonstrate proficiency in use of ISTAT machine.

7. Perform data entry in Meditech using accurate times.

8. Verify doctor orders. Follow Doctor’s orders on protocols.

9. Match previous exams and reports.

10. Interact with Radiologists. Communicate effectively with customers as necessary. (physicians,

patients, co-workers, etc).

11. Organize patients for best work flow.

12. Print films or CD's.

13. Perform weekly QA.

14. Check out films to patients.

15. Complete MRI pre-exam screening.

16. Greet patients.

17. Move patients on and off table.

18. Mark verified/dictated in PACS.

19. Scan documents into PACS, attached to correct exam.

20. Send exams from PACS or modality to the Amicus telerad system when necessary.

21. Enter exam notes on PACS.

22. Demonstrate proficiency in starting INT.

23. Administer contrast media with power injector.

What qualifications you will need:

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• (ARRT-R) Radiography
• (RT) Radiologic Technologist/Radiographer
• Vocational School Graduate
