Job Summary: Maintains an efficient and effective Food and Nutrition Service Communications Center by coordinating intra- and inter-department communications
Responsibilities: Performs all data entry computer functions for patients and residents, including but not limited to diet information, new admissions, discharges, diet changes, food preferences, allergies and menu selections, accurately and in a timely manner. Processes patient diet orders. Collects, prints and organizes patient menus. Enters patient menu selections for next day meal service. Prints and organizes tray tickets. Enters nourishment and snack data in a timely manner daily and informs the Director and Clinical Nutrition Manager of any late issues. Assures that all late patient food requests are processed within 20 minutes of receipt. Processes all patient food requests as received. Pages Diet Aides, Hostesses, Supervisors to deliver patient requests as needed. Assures that all late ticket requests are delivered by Diet Aides and Hostesses within a 20-minute time limit. Call the units to inform them of any late tray issues. Performs other duties as assigned.
