About Us: Nation's Infusion at Home, a wholly owned subsidiary of Lifebridge Health Partners, is a full-service Home Infusion company, offering a variety of home health services to the Maryland and DC markets.
Job Summary: Nation's Infusion at Home is seeking a part-time, experienced Home Infusion Pharmacist for our office in Owings Mills. Candidates must be licensed in Maryland; current DC license is preferred, but candidates without it will need to apply for it within 3 months of hire. The work schedule will include weekends, 8:30 AM - 5 PM, with the potential to work a minimal rotating on-call schedule.
This role is primarily responsible for TPNs and production support on the weekends. The pharmacist may oversee sterile compounding operations and ensure the safe, accurate preparation of compounded infusion therapies in compliance with all applicable regulatory standards, including USP <797> and <800>. The Pharmacist supervises technicians, verifies and releases finished products, and maintains cleanroom environments and equipment to meet strict quality and safety requirements.
The Pharmacist ensures accurate dispensing and coordination of medication delivery, maintains inventory and supply levels, and supports the use of pharmacy technology and infusion equipment. Responsibilities include participation in quality assurance initiatives, regulatory compliance, and thorough documentation and adherence to all legal and ethical standards.
Requirements
· At least 1 year of experience in a home infusion environment or at least 2 years of relevant experience as a pharmacist
· Strong knowledge base in sterile IV admixture procedures, medication therapy management, and home infusion services
· Competent in the use of pharmacokinetic principles & formulas and assessing patient laboratory values
· Ability to problem solve and work in a high stress environment
· Experience with procurement and inventory management of medications
· Ability to train and supervise pharmacy technicians
· Proficient with software including, but limited to, O365 and EMR systems
· Excellent problem solving, organization, and communication skills
· Ability to exercise sound independent judgment
· Strong working knowledge of USP <797> and <800> standards, aseptic technique, and infusion therapy management
· Current Maryland Pharmacist license in good standing and the ability to maintain required licensure; ability to receive a DC pharmacist license.
· Ability to work the required schedule, including an on-call rotation which may include weekends, evenings, and overnights.
