Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM
Experience:
• 24 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.
• Must have at least 12 months of Intensive Care Unit experience.
• Experience with Cerner is preferred from any number of months.
• Trauma Level 1 experience is preferred from any number of months
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a Missouri license or compact license (required for submission).
• This role may require floating to additional units and locations
• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <75 miles from facility will be processed as local.
• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

IV therapy: Arterial line management, Blood Product Administration, Central line care/management, PICC line management, Starting and maintaining IVs
Respiratory/Thoracic: Assist with management of BiPAP, Assist with management of CPAP, Care of Ventilated Patient, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), Suctioning (ETT, NT), Ventilator Management
Genitourinary/Renal: Chronic/Acute Renal failure
Medications: Continuous IV sedation, Procedural Sedation Administration/Monitoring, Titrate Cardiac drips, Titrate Vasoactive drips
Neurological
Professional Topics and Skills: Infection Prevention, Isolation Precautions/Use of PPE, Phlebotomy, Surgical Wounds with drains/Wound Vac
Cardiac Monitoring and Emergency response: Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Management of dysrhythmias, Management of patient with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure
Endocrine/Metabolic: IV insulin protocols
Cardiovascular: Pre/Post Cardiac Cath/intervention
Preferred Skills/Experience:
Respiratory/Thoracic: Interpretation of Arterial Blood Gases (ABGs)
Neurological: CVA/Acute Stroke management
Cardiovascular: Post Cardiac Surgery (Not directly from the OR), Pulmonary Artery Line/Swan Ganz monitoring, Transcatheter Aortic Valve implantation/Replacement (TAVI/TAVR)
Procedures/Diagnostics/Treatments Performed on Unit: STEMI, NSTEMI, Post-Cath lab, Post-AICD/Pacemaker, Post-op CT Surgery, Post-op Thoracic Surgery, Renal Transplant, IABP, Impella, ECMO, Post-ENT surgery (radical neck/flap, etc), Trach, Laryngectomy, Overflow MICU/NSICU
Highest acuity and specialty equipment patients are cared for by the core staff

Unit/Facility Details: 18 bed CICU/ CVICU
Proof of Identification: Driver’s License / State ID
Shift & Scheduling: Block Schedules: No
Holiday Requirement: 50% of the holidays
Weekend Requirement: 50% of weekends on contract required
Floating Requirements: ICU Cluster and MS & MS/Tele (1/4)
ICU may float to PCU or MS units
All travelers will be expected to float to any area at UMHS as a Patient Observer (PTOB) – “Sitter.”
7 days maximum time off
2 references from last 3 years (Charge/Lead reference type) - required for submission
