Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
Experience:
• 12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.
• Must have at least 24 months of Intensive Care Unit experience.
• 3 months of travel experience is required from any number of months.
• Experience with Cerner is preferred from any number of months.
• Trauma Level 2 experience is required from any number of months
• BSN completion preferred
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a District of Columbia license (required for submission).
• This role will require floating to multiple units
• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <60 miles from facility will be processed as local.
• Flu vaccination required for submission. Declinations not accepted.
• 12 months between Staff at Program: Aya Program - MedStar Health

IV therapy: Arterial line management, Blood Product Administration, Central line care/management, PICC line management, Starting and maintaining IVs, Respiratory/Thoracic: Care of Ventilated Patient, Interpretation of Arterial Blood Gases (ABGs), Suctioning (ETT, NT), Ventilator Management, Genitourinary/Renal: Chronic/Acute Renal failure, Medications: Continuous IV sedation, Emergency Medications, Titrate Vasoactive drips, Neurological: CVA/Acute Stroke management, External ventricular drain (EVD), ICP monitoring, Post Neurosurgery management, Professional Topics and Skills: Isolation Precautions/Use of PPE, Cardiac Monitoring and Emergency response: Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Management of dysrhythmias, Obtain 12 lead EKG/ECG, Endocrine/Metabolic: IV insulin protocols, Work Settings: Neuro Intensive Care Unit.
Preferred Skills/Experience: ICP preferred
IV therapy: Accessing/Managing Ports, Respiratory/Thoracic: Assist with Chest Tube Insertion/Removal, Assist with management of BiPAP, Assist with management of CPAP, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), Medications: Continuous IV paralytics/Neuromuscular blockade, Procedural Sedation Administration/Monitoring, Titrate Cardiac drips, Neurological: Hypothermia protocol/Arctic Sun, Lumbar drains, Spinal cord injury, Traumatic Brain injury, Professional Topics and Skills: Infection Prevention, Phlebotomy.
Required Credentials: References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years.
Special Requests: The RTO in between the ending of one contract and the beginning of another will not be approved for greater than 7 days.
Shift & Scheduling: On Call/ Weekend Requirement: no on call requirement, weekend included in rotation
