Experience:
• 12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.
• Must have at least 24 months of Intensive Care Unit experience.
• Experience with Epic is preferred from any number of months.
• Trauma Level 1 experience is preferred from any number of months
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a Pennsylvania license or compact license (required for submission).
• This role will require floating to multiple units
• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <50 miles from facility will be processed as local.

Procedures/Diagnostics/Treatments Performed on Unit:
Patient Diagnoses: CABG pre/post op, TAVR, CABG pre/postop, Cardiac Valve Surgery, Dissecting and Post-operative Aneurysms, Any other cardiac surgical procedure, VV & VA ECMO, Tandem heart, Impella, IABP, Thoracic aneurysm (requiring bypass), Thoracotomy, Post-operative patients requiring hemodynamic monitoring/ vent support, LVAD, Swan, s/p cardiac arrest, Pulmonary hypertension, Pericardial window
Special Procedures: Mostly cardiac surgical with a mix of cardiac medical patients. Many different bedside procedures done which will most likely resemble other like ICU’s.

Equipment Used on Unit: Hemosphere’s/ Accuman, impella’s, CRRT, TVP’s, ECMO, tandem, LVAD’s, IABP, Swan, vent
Unit/Facility Details: Open Heart Intensive Care Unit (OHICU) is a 10-bed intensive care unit (ICU) that provides care to critically ill/postoperative cardiothoracic, cardiovascular, and general surgery patients 18 years and older.
Could care for COVID patients.

Special Requests: RTO: If you have more than 5 days of requested time off, time will be added at the end of the contract to ensure a full 13 weeks.
Block Schedules: No
Shift & Scheduling:
Weekend requirements: Every Other Weekend
Call requirements: n/a
Holiday requirements: As needed; no RTO between Christmas and New Years
Number of Weekend Shifts Per Contract: every other for duration of contract.
Floating Requirements: May float to all ICU floors and med surg floors if needed
7 days maximum time off. Facility holidays: 01/01/2025, 11/27/2025, 12/25/2025. Number of holidays allowed off: 1
