Shift: 6:00 AM - 6:30 PM

Experience:

• 24 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.

• Must have at least 24 months of Intensive Care Unit experience within the past 4 years.

• Experience with Epic is preferred from any number of months.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Washington license or compact license (required after submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Local & travel allowed.

• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• Flu vaccination required after submission. Religious, medical, and personal declinations accepted.

Required Skills/Experience: General Medical ICU experience including sepsis management, targeted temperature managment, manual proning for the intubated patient

Experience with post cardiac cath and PCI care both radial and groin approach ideal, post TPA infusion management for stroke

Procedures/Diagnostics/Treatments Performed on Unit: Post STEMI Cardiac cath intervention, sepsis, respiratory failure, DKA, post operative ICU level care need, post vascular surgical intervention care, CHF, post cardiac arrest, renal failure with hemodialysis and CRRT, post stroke and TPA infusion, GI bleed, substance and alcohol withdrawal management

Department takes both procedural/surgical and medical patients that allows for a wide variety of skills to be utilized.

Unit/Facility Details: 16 beds

Ratios 1:2 ICU 1:3 stepdown

Shift & Scheduling:

Weekend Requirement: Every other

Holiday Requirement: Yes, based on department need

Floating Requirements: Yes, floating occures in rotation with staff to department need within acute care and ER transition. ICU nurse assignment expectation is a maximum of 3 patients

First to float - Region I: Primary to St Francis Hospital, but if needed, travelers will be required to float throughout Region One: St. Anne Hospital – Burien, WA; Virginia Mason Medical Center – Seattle, WA; St. Francis Hospital – Federal Way, WA.

Facility holidays: 01/01/2025, 11/27/2025, 12/25/2025. Number of holidays allowed off: 1. Start assignment restriction: 14 days
