Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
Experience:
• 12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.
• Must have at least 24 months of Intensive Care Unit experience.
• 3 months of experience with Cerner is preferred from any number of months.
• Diploma completion required
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a Maine license or compact license (required for submission).
• This role will require floating to multiple units
• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >100 miles from facility to be submitted.
• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.
• Flu vaccination required for submission. Medical declinations accepted.
• No previous experience allowed for Staff at Facility: Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center

Required Skills/Experience:
ICU: Neuro and Trauma experience is an absolute must.
ICU: Vents/critical care drips, Drains, Stroke Patients, CT’s, Hemodynamic lines, rhythm recognition, measure strips, chest tubes, strong assessment skills, A-line.

Housing in ME becomes more expensive in the summer months, beginning in May. Be sure to confirm you are comfortable with housing options before applying.
Roles requiring state licensure only: License should not expire within 45 days following start date
Travel Pairs: If you are in a relationship, EMMC will not schedule you on the same days. If you are not in a relationship, you can be scheduled for the same days if not on the same shift/unit. Managers will not guarantee the same schedule for travel pairs.
Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekend rotation (Fri & Sat)
Floating Requirements:
To the Cardiac care unit, will take patients within their scope.
CCU (Cardiac stepdown) or General PCU
PICU if they have peds experience
7 days maximum time off
2 references from last 12 months (Any reference type) - required for submission
Proof of identification required for submission
Certifications:
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
• NIHSS (NIH Stroke Scale)
