Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Experience:

• 12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.

• Must have at least 24 months of Intensive Care Unit experience.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Maryland license or compact license (required for submission).

• This role will require floating to multiple units

• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <60 miles from facility will be processed as local.

• Flu vaccination required for submission. Declinations not accepted.

• 12 months between Staff at Program: Aya Program - MedStar Health

Additional Details:

References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years.

Required Skills/Experience: Accessing/Managing Ports, Arterial line management, Blood Product Administration, Central line care/management, PICC line management, Starting and maintaining IVs, Assist with Chest Tube Insertion/Removal, Assist with management of BiPAP, Assist with management of CPAP, Care of Ventilated Patient, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), Interpretation of Arterial Blood Gases (ABGs), Suctioning (ETT, NT), Ventilator Management, Chronic/Acute Renal failure, CVVHD/CRRT, Emergency Medications, Titrate Cardiac drips, Titrate Vasoactive drips, ECMO, Pulmonary Artery Line/Swan Ganz monitoring, Sheath Removal, Ventricular Assist Device (LVAD/RVAD), CVA/Acute Stroke management, ICP monitoring, Infection Prevention, Isolation Precautions/ Use of PPE, Phlebotomy, Surgical Wounds with drains/Wound Vac, Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Management of dysrhythmias, Management of patient with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure, Obtain 12 lead EKG/ECG, IV insulin protocols, Burns

Preferred Skills/Experience: Continuous IV paralytics/Neuromuscular blockade, Continuous IV sedation, Procedural Sedation Administration/Monitoring, Coronary Artery Bypass Graft (CABG), Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump, Pre/Post Cardiac Cath/intervention, Hypothermia protocol/Arctic Sun, Spinal cord injury, Surgical Intensive Care Unit, Thermoregulation: hypothermia/hyperthermia

Required Credentials:

  • Candidate must successfully pass the Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with a minimum overall score of 80% and a score of 100% on lethal rhythms.
  • Drivers License/State ID

Special Requests: RTO must be on the submittal and cannot be changed once the profile has been sent to the manager for review.

Shift & Scheduling: Every Third Weekend Coverage

Details:

AUTO OFFER - NO INTERVIEW: This is an auto-offer position. You will likely not interview with the facility prior to receiving an offer. However, an interview can be arranged upon request. All time off requests must be submitted at application. Scheduling requests must be worked out with the manager directly upon starting the assignment. Any offers for this job will require a clear “Yes” or “No” response from the nurse within 24hrs or the offer must be declined.
