Job Summary and Qualifications

Perform interventional radiology procedures in compliance with regulatory agencies and hospital

policies and procedures.

· Display sound knowledge and proficiency in the use and operation of all angiography imaging

equipment and accessories.

· Perform angiography exams as per protocol on a variety of different body parts in a timely

manner.

· Complete appropriate history forms.

· Complete Technologist exam sheet.

· Stock rooms with supplies.

· Confirm that consent forms are completed by physician when necessary.

· Check labs results when necessary

· Perform data entry using accurate times.

· Mark images verified/dictated in PACS.

· Scan documents into PACS, attached to correct exam.

· Send exams from PACS or AW to the Amicus Tele-rad system when necessary.

· Enter exam notes on PACS.

· Verify physician orders in patient chart. Follow physician’s written orders.

· Initial chart when exam is complete.

· Interact with Radiologists, other physicians, patients and colleagues. Communicate effectively

with customers (physicians, patients, colleagues)

· Start I.V.s when necessary.

· Correctly and safely administer contrast media with power injector.

· Move patients on and off table when necessary.

· Organize and prioritize patient exams for best work flow.

· Enter correct charges for exam.

What qualifications you will need:

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• (ARRT-R) Radiography
• (RT) Radiologic Technologist/Radiographer
• Vocational School Graduate
