Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
Experience:
• 24 months of role experience is required from last 12 months.
• Must have at least 12 months of Labor & Delivery Unit experience.
• 3 months of experience with Meditech is preferred from any number of months.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a Tennessee license or compact license (required for submission).
• This role may require floating to additional units and locations
• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.

Additional Details:
Required Skills/Experience: Patient Experience requirements: daily rounding on all patients, Safety rounding
Labor and delivery experience including the ability to labor and recover the mother as well as receive and transition the newborn including assessment.
Advanced skills needed: Fetal monitoring education, experience with inductions (Pitocin, cervidil)
Preferred Skills/Experience: Experience with shoulder dystocia, PP hemorrhage, and other potential OB emergencies preferred.
Procedures/Diagnostics/Treatments Performed on Unit: C-sections, circumcisions, intra-uterine monitoring, vacuum or forceps assisted deliveries
Equipment Used on Unit: CPN Central monitoring, IV pumps, infant warmers, tele-med robot for neonatologist, bili-blankets, PCA pumps
Unit/Facility Details: Patient Ratios : 1/1 active labors, inductions, C-sections, couplet care 1/3, newborns 1/1 until stable, NICU 1/3 intermediate care, but 2 NICU nurses must be in the unit if there are.
Number of Beds : LDRP 9 beds, OBED 1 bed, NICU 4 beds, 1 OR suite
Because this is a LDRP unit, it is a great way to gain experience for labor, delivery, post-partum, and neonate care.
Special Requests: No Block Scheduling requests. Any special scheduling requests must be made with Manager upon arrival at facility.
Shift & Scheduling: Rotating weekend and holidays
Floating Requirements: Regular staff, if scheduled and not needed on the unit, are expected to float anywhere within the facility as needed, some staff are cross trained to float between LDRP & NICU
10 days maximum time off
1 reference from last 12 months (Charge/Lead reference type) - required for submission
Driver’s license required
Certifications:
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program – 8th Edition)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
• Intermediate AWHONN FHM (Intermediate Fetal Heart Monitoring)
