Shift: 6:00 PM - 6:30 AM
Experience:
• 18 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.
• Must have at least 24 months of Labor & Delivery Unit experience.
• Experience with Cerner is preferred from any number of months.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a Illinois license (required for submission).
• This role may require floating to additional units and locations
• Local & travel allowed.
• Flu vaccination required for submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.
• 12 months between Staff at Program: Aya Program - Memorial Health System - IL
• 12 months between Per Diem at Program: Aya Program - Memorial Health System - IL

Previous Employment Requirements: Any PERM or PRN employee of Memorial must be away for 12 months before applying as a traveler
Required Skills/Experience:
- Special Requirements: Required Work Setting Experience: Antepartum, Facility births/month <100, Labor and Delivery, High Risk Antepartum, Level I Nursery, LDRP, Mother/Baby.
- Required Antepartum Care and Procedures Skills/Experience: Assist with sterile speculum exam (effacement, dilation, station, presentation), NST (Non Stress Tests), OCT (Oxytocin Challenge Tests), Reflex checks / edema assessment / clonus, Sterile vaginal exam, Triage of obstetrical patients, Use of EFM (External Fetal Heart Monitoring).
- Required Fetal Monitoring Skills/Experience: Use of External Fetal Monitoring, Use of Internal Fetal Monitoring, Recognition and Treatment of abnormal fetal heart rate patterns.
- Required IV Therapy/Phlebotomy Skills/Experience: Administration of blood & blood products, Start & maintain peripheral IV, Use of infusion pumps / drips / IV monitoring.
- Required Medication and Administration Skills/Experience: Antihypertensives, Magnesium Sulfate therapy, Pitocin (oxytocin), Prostaglandins.
- Required Labor and Delivery Management Skills/Experience: Assist with high risk delivery, Assist with vaginal delivery, Circulate for C-section, Hemorrhage/shock, Recover C-Section, Sterile vaginal exam.
- Required Neonatal Care in Delivery Room Skills/Experience: APGAR scores, ID/Security Banding, Radiant Warmers/Thermoregulation.
- Required Newborn Care Skills/Experience: Assist with Circumcision/Assess site post-op, Cord Care, Discharge teaching to parents, Infant Identification, Metabolic Screen, Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome, Newborn Assessment, Newborn hypoglycemia, Teach Circumcision care to parents, Thermoregulation.
- Required Pain Management Skills/Experience: Epidural Anesthesia, Pain assessment & management.
- Required Postpartum Care and Procedures Skills/Experience: Episiotomy/Incisional Care, Foley Catheter insertion, Fundus/lochia/perineum care, Wound Assessment and Care.
- Required Postpartum Care of the Patient with: Vaginal Delivery, Cesarean Section, Couplet Care, Multiple Births, Postpartum Hemorrhage, Pregnancy induced hypertension.
- Required Professional Topics and Skills: Isolation Precautions/PPE, Vaccine Administration.
Preferred Skills/Experience: Community Hospital experience.
Required Credentials: Valid/current US Driver’s license or US ID card.

Unit/Facility Details:
- 18 bed unit.
- Parking Cost: parking permit required, no cost. Will fill out form during orientation.
Special Requests: Discuss block scheduling requests with manager.
Shift & Scheduling: 4x12 or 3x12.
Floating Requirements: Float to peds, based on need.
References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years.
5 days maximum time off. Facility holidays: 01/01/2025, 11/27/2025, 12/25/2025. Number of holidays allowed off: 1
