Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM
Experience:
• 12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.
• Must have at least 36 months of Labor & Delivery Unit experience.
• Trauma Level 1 experience is preferred from any number of months
• BSN completion preferred
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a Maryland license or compact license (required for submission).
• This role will require floating to multiple units
• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <60 miles from facility will be processed as local.
• Flu vaccination required after submission. Declinations not accepted.
• 12 months between Staff at Program: Aya Program - MedStar Health

Additional Details:
References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years.

Return Staff Policy: If a nurse has held previous employment with Medstar, must be gone for a minimum of 1 year to return as a traveler.
Required Skills/Experience:
Charge and Preceptor Experience.
Circulate for C-section, LDRP experience.
Antepartum/Intrapartum/Postpartum/Couplet Care proven experience
Preferred Skills/Experience: 2 years experience
Triage, Proficient in sterile vaginal exams, Baby Friendly hospital experience
Teaching Hospital and Community Hospital Experience
Required Credentials: Must hold current C-EFM or obtain C-EFM within 2 weeks of start.
Procedures/Diagnostics/Treatments Performed on Unit:
Patient Diagnoses: Hypertensive Disorders in Pregnancy; Maternal Substance Use Disorder; Gestational Diabetes; Limited or no prenatal care
Special Procedures/Unit Details: Versions, Cerclage Removal, D&C, D&E
Types of Patients on Unit: Neonates, Adolescents, Adults
Unit/Facility Details: Number of Beds: 10

Shift & Scheduling:
l/Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
On Call Requirement: 2 shifts per 6 week schedule
Pre-Approved Time Off: 2 Requests
Floating Requirements: Can be floated to Postpartum/Couplet care, “feeder / grower” assignments in SCN ( our Level II NICU)

7 days maximum time off. Start assignment restriction: 14 days
