Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM

Experience:

• 12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.

• Must have at least 24 months of Labor & Delivery Unit experience.

• 3 months of experience with Epic is required from any number of months.

• Diploma completion required

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Washington license or compact license (required for submission).

• This role will require floating to multiple units

• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• Flu vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience:

• Will you accept a traveler with 1 year experience? Postpartum No, 2+ years for traditional traveler

• Will you accept a first-time traveler? L&D RN: Upon review.

• L&D RN: High acuity experience: labor management and delivery of high risk OB patients, ability to triage OB patients, circulate in OR, cervical checks, reading/interpreting fetal monitoring strips; second set of hands (receive and recover normal newborn as needed)

Preferred Skills/Experience: 5+ Years Experience

Types of Patients on Unit:

• High acuity: Hypertension, Mg administration, C-sections (33% c section rate), Preterm labor, Insulin drips (rarely- follow protocol), vaginal deliveries, epidurals, inductions, Robust antepartum, PROM, Multiple births, post-partum hemorrhage

• Transition post vaginal births and C-Section (mom and baby) Expectation is full recovery of birthing patient and baby; If there is a second set of hands to attend the birth and they will assign APGARS, but no guarantee they will be available after that to help care for the baby

• Up to 300 deliveries per month

Required Credentials: If you have a multistate license, you will be required to complete a 1-time 6-hour suicide prevention training according to WA state regulations.

Equipment Used on Unit: IV pumps: Alaris CareFusion, Medication dispensing: Pyxis, Monitors: Fetal Surveillance: Centricity/Qx, Epidural Pumps- CAD Solaris, Panda Warmers, Coviden SCD’s

Unit/Facility Details:

• Parking: Free badge access parking in designated areas

• L & D Beds: 34, 15 labor rooms, 12 antepartum, 4 OB ED, 3 OR, Post Partum 18 Beds

• Patient Ratio -1:1 active labor -1:2 non-active laboring -1:2-3 antepartum, dependent on acuity

Shift & Scheduling:

• Shift times:

• Schedule cycle: Self scheduling Group C – last group to schedule

• Weekend rotation: Every other, but can be variable based on need

• On Call -No mandatory call requirements (per mgr. 2/10/2025) -May pick up available open shifts as needs arise -No Call for ANM

• Holiday Expectations: Yes, fair and equitable; no holidays for ANM, but they may be able to pick up if needed

• Incidental days off (24-48 hr) discuss with CANM or Manager

Floating requirements

•Antepartum (within L & D) , postpartum (4th floor) (occasionally), additional assignments within scope and experience

7 days maximum time off

2 references from last 12 months (Manager/Supervisor reference type) - 1 required for submission

Proof of identification required

Certifications:

• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program – 8th Edition)

• BLS (Basic Life Support)

• Intermediate AWHONN FHM (Intermediate Fetal Heart Monitoring)
