Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM

Experience:

• 12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.

• Must have at least 24 months of Labor & Delivery Unit experience.

• Experience with Cerner is preferred from any number of months.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Texas license or compact license (required for submission).

• This role will require floating to multiple units

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.

• Flu vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

Required Skills: Administration of blood & blood products, Drawing Venous Blood, Starting and maintaining IVs, Use of infusion pumps / drips / IV monitoring, Antepartum, Labor and Delivery, LDRP, Antihypertensives, Magnesium Sulfate therapy, Pitocin (oxytocin), Terbutaline, APGAR scores, Baby Nurse (“Baby Catcher”), ID/Security Banding, Radiant Warmers/Thermoregulation, Assist with high risk delivery, Assist with vaginal delivery, Circulate for C-section, Recover C-Section, Sterile vaginal exam, Assist with sterile speculum exam (effacement, dilation, station, presentation), NST (Non Stress Tests), Reflex checks / edema assessment / clonus, Sterile vaginal exam, Triage of obstetrical patients, Use of EFM (External Fetal Heart Monitoring), Breastfeeding Support/lactation support, Foley catheter insertion/management, Fundus / lochia / perineum care, Cesarean Section, Multiple Births, Postpartum Hemorrhage, Pregnancy induced hypertension, Vaginal Delivery, Epidural Anesthesia, General Anesthesia, Pain assessment & management, Use of PCA (IV), Infant Identification, Isolation Precautions/PPE, Vaccine Administration, Recognition and Treatment of abnormal fetal heart rate patterns, Use of External Fetal Monitoring, Use of Internal Fetal Monitoring, Use of IUPC (Intrauterine pressure catheter) placement and calibration

Preferred Skills/Experience: Facility births/month 200-300, High Risk Antepartum, Forceps/vacuum extraction, Hemorrhage/shock, Insulin drips, Telemetry Interpretation

Special Requests: RN will rotate through triage, antepartum, labor, circulate, transition

Shift & Scheduling: Will consider a minimum of 13 weeks

Must work one holiday (eve and day)

Floating Requirements: Antepartum

7 days maximum time off. Facility holidays: 12/24/2025, 12/25/2025, 12/31/2025, 01/01/2026. Number of holidays allowed off: 2

1 reference from last 12 months (Manager/Supervisor reference type) - required for submission

1 reference from last 3 years (Any reference type) - required for submission

Certifications:

• NIHSS (NIH Stroke Scale)

• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program – 8th Edition)

• BLS (Basic Life Support)

• Advanced AWHONN FHM (Advanced Fetal Heart Monitoring)

• Intermediate AWHONN FHM (Intermediate Fetal Heart Monitoring)

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
