Unit Summary
Hall 1 is a 40–45 bed long-term care unit specializing in sub-acute rehabilitation for residents with high-complexity clinical needs. The unit provides comprehensive nursing care, daily therapeutic and recreational activities, and a wide range of supportive services. Team members in Hall 1 are expected to be compassionate, motivated, and dedicated to delivering high-quality, resident-centered care.
Under the supervision of the Registered Nurse and/or Director of Nursing, the Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides direct nursing care to residents by applying fundamental nursing principles and basic physical assessment skills. The LPN assists in the development and implementation of individualized care plans to meet residents’ clinical and psychosocial needs. This role also supports daily unit operations and may assume leadership responsibilities at the unit level as needed.
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (diploma program)
Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the State of Maryland
AHA BLS Certification required
Less than one (1) year of nursing experience required
Formal working knowledge equivalent to an Associate’s degree (two years of college)
Knowledge of a specialized nursing field appropriate to sub-acute rehabilitation
