Shift: 5:30 PM - 6:00 AM

Experience:

• 3 years of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 2 years of Medical Surgical Float Pool experience.

• Travel experience is required.

• 3 months of Epic experience is required with any experience within the last 12 months.

• ADN completion required.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Wisconsin license or compact license (required after submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.

• Flu vaccination required for submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• Anyone who worked as Staff at a facility in this program in the last 6 months cannot be submitted.

• Anyone currently working at a facility in this program cannot be submitted.

Additional Details:

An interview with the unit manager may not be available prior to offer. If you do not interview with the unit manager, you may interview with a third-party clinical nurse manager.

Required Skills/Experience:
For any RN role: if a candidate has NP licensure, ThedaCare will only consider them for an NP role, not a lower position.
Previous travel is required.

Preferred Skills/Experience:
One travel contract is strongly preferred.
Pre-/post-cath, post-pacemaker, and TR band experience are strongly preferred.

Required Credentials:
Associate degree or certificate is required.

Special Requests:
Any missed shift must be made up within 2 weeks of the absence.

Unit Details:
Primary cases across facilities include medical/surgical, general surgical, oncology, renal, CIWA, CHF, COPD, stroke, surgical trauma and orthopedics, DKA, and pediatric patients (rare).
ThedaCare Neenah 5th-floor cardiac cases include pre-/post-cath care, heart catheterizations and pacemakers; its neuro unit handles stroke, post-TNK and neurosurgery cases.
Assignments are based on skill set to fill staffing needs, and the traveler will only take patients within their skill set.
The 1:5-6 patient ratio applies to days and nights under the new staffing model; RNs are paired with LPN/CNA support based on acuity.

Shift & Scheduling:
Weekend rotation is up to every other weekend; candidates available every weekend may be considered.
Holiday rotation is as needed.
Flexible contract hours: Weekly hours are set except during orientation week and when the unit is closed for holidays.
No call.

Floating Requirements:
The traveler will float throughout all Med/Surg units at ThedaCare Appleton and ThedaCare Neenah; the traveler may float to all ThedaCare facilities as needed, primarily ThedaCare Neenah and ThedaCare Appleton, and must be open to smaller locations as needed.
The schedule of locations is provided in 2-week increments.
The work location may change up to 2hrs in advance based on staffing needs.
