Shift: 5:30 PM - 6:00 AM

Experience:

• 3 years of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 2 years of Medical Surgical Float Pool experience.

• Travel experience is required.

• 3 months of Epic experience is required with any experience within the last 12 months.

• ADN completion required.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Wisconsin license or compact license (required after submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.

• Flu vaccination required for submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• Anyone who worked as Staff at a facility in this program in the last 6 months cannot be submitted.

• Anyone currently working at a facility in this program cannot be submitted.

Required Skills/Experience:
For any RN role: if a candidate has NP licensure, ThedaCare will only consider them for an NP role, not a lower position.

Preferred Skills/Experience:
1 travel contract strongly preferred.
Experience with pre/post-cath, post-pacemaker, and TR bands strongly preferred.

Special Requests:
An interview with the unit manager may not be available prior to offer. If you do not interview with the unit manager, you may interview with a third-party clinical nurse manager.
Any missed shift must be made up within 2 weeks of the absence.

Unit Details:
Primary cases across facilities include general surgical, oncology, renal, CIWA, CHF, COPD, stroke, surgical trauma and orthopedics, DKA, and rare pediatric patients.
TCN 5th floor: Cardiac care, including pre/post care, heart catheterizations, and pacemakers.
TCN Neuro: Stroke, post-TNK, and neurosurgery.
Patient assignments are limited to the traveler's skill set.
RNs are paired with LPN/CNA support staff based on acuity.

Shift & Scheduling:
Weekend rotation: Up to every other weekend.
Holiday rotation: As needed.
Flexible contract hours: Weekly hours may vary during the orientation week and when the unit is closed for holidays.
No call.

Floating Requirements:
As part of the Clinical Resource Team (CRT), the clinician will float throughout all Med/Surg units at ThedaCare Appleton and ThedaCare Neenah; may float to all ThedaCare facilities as needed, primarily ThedaCare Neenah and ThedaCare Appleton, and must be open to smaller locations as needed.
The placement location will be provided in 2-week increments and may change up to 2 hours in advance due to facility needs.

9 days maximum time off

1 Charge/Lead/Supervisor reference required from within the last 3 years

1 Manager reference required from within the last 12 months
