Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM
Experience:
• 2 years of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.
• 12 months of Medical Surgical Float Pool experience.
• Travel experience is required.
• Experience with Cerner is preferred.
• Trauma Level 2 experience is preferred.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a Missouri license or compact license (required for submission).
• This role may require floating to additional units and locations
• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <50 miles from facility will be processed as local.
• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.
• Flu vaccination required for submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.
• Anyone who worked at a facility in this program in the last 9 months cannot be submitted.
• Anyone currently working at a facility in this program cannot be submitted.

Additional Details:
You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.
Clinicians who live within 51-75 miles from the facility will be considered local.
Preferred Skills/Experience: Teaching hospital experience is preferred.
Special Requests: Local candidates will not be eligible for extensions beyond the initial contract.
Unit Details: The unit serves an adult medical-surgical patient population age 16 and older to support hospital throughput. The adult overflow unit serves all University Hospital admitting physician teams, including neurology, internal medicine, family medicine, cardiology, orthopedics, and oncology. Diagnoses range from diabetes, CHF, COPD, renal disease, orthopedic fractures, and neurological deficits. General floor care procedures and skills include IV therapy, labs, nasogastric tubes, wound care, assisting physicians with bedside procedures, and conscious sedation. Charge duties on the floor may be required.
Shift & Scheduling: Flexible contract hours: 36 or 48 per week. Every other weekend. At least 50% of holidays during the contract are required. Must be able to take call. Rotating shifts and work during inclement weather will be required.
Floating Requirements: Float to the med/surg service line.
