Medical Surgical Float Pool - Travel Registered Nurse

Experience:

• 12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.

• Experience with Epic is required from any number of months.

• Trauma Level 2 experience is required from any number of months

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a North Dakota license or compact license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <80 miles from facility will be processed as local.

• Flu vaccination required after submission. Religious, medical, and personal declinations accepted.

• 6 months between Staff at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - Sanford Health

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience: Min 1 year recent MS experience in a busy large hospital, min 200 beds.

Preferred Skills/Experience: Previous float pool experience preferred.

Required Credentials: Resume: Each employment history entry must include all the following: detailed duties, hospital size, unit size, trauma level (if applicable), patient ratio, teaching facility. Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained.

Shift & Scheduling:

• Days/nights rotating, with every other weekend and holiday.
• Will call in daily to find out the unit they are working on for that shift.

Floating Requirements:

• All med-surg units on Broadway, SMCF and South University (more rare than on SMCF) campuses, including med-surg overflow spaces and med-surg status patients within the critical care units.
• Med-surg specialty units include oncology, general med-surg, trauma med-surg, cardiac, neuro, observation, medical behavioral, and innovations.

7 days maximum time off

1 reference from last 12 months (Charge/Lead reference type) - required for submission

1 reference from last 3 years (Any reference type) - required for submission

Driver’s license required for submission
