Shift: 6:45 AM - 7:15 PM
Experience:
• 12 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.
• 36 months of Medical Surgical Intensive Care Unit experience.
• Experience with Epic is preferred.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a Texas license or compact license (required for submission).
• This role will require floating to multiple units
• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <75 miles from facility will be processed as local.
• 6 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Ascension Health Resource and Supply Management Group, LLC (Direct) - Main and no current placement allowed at Program: Ascension Health Resource and Supply Management Group, LLC (Direct) - Main.

Additional Details:
In order to receive travel rate, clinician’s claimed residence must match address on driver’s license. Driver license is required for RN/LPN/PTs working on a compact license. Ascension Health does not accept vaccine/Tdap declinations.
Required Credentials: - Ascension Specialty Exam required; minimum 80% passing score or national benchmark, with only 2 attempts allowed. - Ascension Core Competencies required; minimum 80% passing score or national benchmark, with only 2 attempts allowed. - Ascension EKG Exam required; minimum 80% passing score, with only 2 attempts allowed. - Epic test-out required.
Special Requests: - Current Ascension employees cannot apply for travel roles. - Candidates need at least 6 months of employment separation to be considered for a travel position.
Unit Details: - Conglomerate ICU unit with medical, surgical, and cardiovascular patients. - Unit sees TAVR, CABG, CVA, respiratory distress, TNK, GIB, DKA, CEA, sepsis, fem-pop, thoracotomy, vent management, HFNC, TTM, IABP, Impella, CRRT, STEMI, HF, hypoxic, respiratory failure, CHF, and pneumonia.
Shift & Scheduling: - Flexible contract hours: 36 or 48 per week for 12-hour schedules.
Floating Requirements: - Must be able to float within the critical care service line, including ICU and step-down.
5 days maximum time off
1 Charge/Lead reference required
Driver’s license required for submission
Certifications:
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
• NIHSS (NIH Stroke Scale)
