Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Experience:

• 24 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 24 months of Medical Surgical Oncology experience with 12 months worked in the last 3 years.

• 3 months of travel experience is required.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Georgia license or compact license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >75 miles from facility to be submitted.

• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - Phoebe Putney and no current placement allowed at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - Phoebe Putney.

Additional Details:

References: At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job you’re applying to.

Required Credentials: - ONS needed if doing chemo.

Unit Details: - Uses Meditech. - Travelers work on the inpatient oncology floor only. - Charge nurse is generally out of the staffing grid unless unusual circumstances. - Central telemetry monitoring; reading strips is not required. - Common patient population includes acute oncology symptoms, thrombocytopenia, neutropenia, sickle cell crisis, hematology, medical overflow, and end-of-life care. - Outpatient patients may come to the floor and finish treatment if running late and the outpatient area closes.

Shift & Scheduling: - Every other weekend. - Holidays rotate with staff.

Floating Requirements: - May rarely float to medical acute.

7 days maximum time off

1 Manager/Supervisor reference required from within the last 12 months

1 reference required from within the last 3 years

Driver’s license required for submission

Certifications:
