Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 22 months of Medical Surgical Oncology experience.

• Experience with Epic is required.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Ohio license or compact license (required after submission).

• This role will require floating to multiple units

• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <60 miles from facility will be processed as local.

• Flu vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• Anyone who worked at a facility in this program in the last 6 months cannot be submitted.

• Anyone currently working at a facility in this program cannot be submitted.

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience: References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years. Proficiency in medical-surgical and telemetry nursing, with the ability to interpret dysrhythmias and provide appropriate interventions. Experience in oncology-specific procedures such as chemotherapy administration and brachytherapy.

Preferred Skills/Experience: Oncology experience is preferred but not required.

Required Credentials: Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program.

Special Requests: You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing. WMC monthly parking permit: $224.80/month or $748.58 per 100 days for 24/7 access to the Wexner Medical Center Garage; this is the closest option. WB annual parking permit: $196.20/year and requires annual payment upfront; West Campus Carmack Lots 2 and 3 are approximately 1.7 miles from the medical center, with Pink Shuttle service every 3–5 minutes during peak times and an approximately 8–9 minute ride. CXS annual parking permit: $393.96/year and requires annual payment upfront; Buckeye CX and West Campus lots offer 24/7 parking. WB weekend garage access is available from Friday at 2:00 p.m. through Monday at 8:00 a.m.; outside those hours, regular hourly garage rates apply.

Unit Details: Adult and geriatric patient population. Patients include those with endometrial, bladder, renal, ovarian, and cervical cancers; the unit also cares for hysterectomy and cystectomy cases. Unit care includes chemotherapy administration, clinical trials, brachytherapy, CBI, neobladder care, feeding tube management, IV therapy, blood product administration, and central line maintenance, with a heavy focus on infection prevention protocols and patient falls management. The assignment includes telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation. Staffing ratios aim for 1:4, but may be adjusted to 1:5 based on unit needs.

Shift & Scheduling: If you accept a 12D/N rotating contract, you may be scheduled for days, nights, or a combination of both, depending on the department’s needs. Shift assignments are reviewed every 4-week scheduling period, but changes are not guaranteed and are based on staffing priorities at that time. Weekends are variable based on unit needs.

Floating Requirements: Floating to other Medical-Surgical Oncology units is required.

• AUTO OFFER - NO INTERVIEW: This is an auto-offer position. You will likely not interview with the facility prior to receiving an offer. However, an interview can be arranged upon request. All time off requests must be submitted at application. Scheduling requests must be worked out with the manager directly upon starting the assignment. Any offers for this job will require a clear “Yes” or “No” response from the nurse within 24hrs or the offer must be declined.
