Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 22 months of Medical Surgical Oncology experience.

• Experience with Epic is required.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Ohio license or compact license (required after submission).

• This role will require floating to multiple units

• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <60 miles from facility will be processed as local.

• Flu vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• Anyone who worked at a facility in this program in the last 6 months cannot be submitted.

• Anyone currently working at a facility in this program cannot be submitted.

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience: References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years. Proficiency in medical-surgical and telemetry nursing, with the ability to interpret dysrhythmias and provide appropriate interventions. Experience in oncology-specific procedures such as chemotherapy administration and brachytherapy.

Required Credentials: Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program.

Special Requests: You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing. WMC parking permit costs $224.80/month or $748.58 per 100 days and is available monthly. WB parking permit costs $196.20/year with annual payment upfront; parking is approximately 1.7 miles from the medical center, with Pink Shuttle service every 3–5 minutes during peak times and an approximately 8–9-minute ride. CXS parking permit costs $393.96/year with annual payment upfront.

Unit Details: Adult and geriatric patient population. Patients include those with endometrial, bladder, renal, ovarian, and cervical cancers, as well as hysterectomy and cystectomy cases. Unit care includes chemotherapy, clinical trials, brachytherapy, continuous bladder irrigation (CBI), and neobladder care, with a heavy focus on infection prevention protocols and patient falls management. Clinical responsibilities include chemotherapy administration with monitoring for adverse reactions; telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation; feeding-tube care; IV therapy; blood product administration; and central-line maintenance. Staff participate in clinical trials and data collection and documentation, and use rapid response teams as needed.

Shift & Scheduling: Accepting a 12D/N rotating contract may result in day shifts, night shifts, or a combination of both, depending on department needs. Shift assignments are reviewed every 4-week scheduling period, but changes are not guaranteed and are based on staffing priorities at that time. Weekends are variable based on unit needs.

Floating Requirements: Floating to other MedSurg Oncology units is required.
