Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 22 months of Medical Surgical Oncology experience.

• Travel experience is preferred.

• Experience with Epic is required.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Ohio license or compact license (required after submission).

• This role will require floating to multiple units

• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <60 miles from facility will be processed as local.

• Flu vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• Anyone who worked at a facility in this program in the last 6 months cannot be submitted.

• Anyone currently working at a facility in this program cannot be submitted.

Additional Details:

References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years.

You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.

Required Skills/Experience: Experience with pharmacologic and non-pharmacological pain interventions and equianalgesic dosing of opioids is required.

Preferred Skills/Experience: Teaching hospital experience is preferred.

Required Credentials: Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program.

Special Requests: WB and CXS parking permits require annual payment upfront and are not available as monthly permits. WMC monthly permit: $224.80/month or $748.58 per 100 days for 24/7 access to the Wexner Medical Center Garage. WB annual permit: $196.20/year. West Campus Carmack Lots 2 and 3 are approximately 1.7 miles from the OSU Wexner Medical Center; the Pink Shuttle runs every 3–5 minutes during peak times and reaches the medical center in approximately 8–9 minutes. Weekend garage access is available from Friday at 2:00 p.m. through Monday at 8:00 a.m.; outside those hours, regular hourly garage rates apply. CXS annual permit: $393.96/year, with access to 9th Avenue East and West Garages on weekends and holidays and Buckeye CX and West Campus lots 24/7.

Unit Details: Provides care for patients with serious, life-limiting illnesses, with a focus on expert symptom management, improving quality of life, and supporting patients and families through complex health care decisions, including goals of care. Patient-centered care addresses physical, emotional, and psychosocial needs while helping patients navigate care with dignity and comfort; common concerns include uncontrolled pain, severe nausea or vomiting, failure to thrive, and fatigue while patients remain under treatment.

Shift & Scheduling: If you accept a 12D/N rotating contract, you may be scheduled for days, nights, or a combination of both, depending on the department’s needs. Shift assignments are reviewed every 4-week scheduling period, but changes are not guaranteed and are based on staffing priorities at that time.

Floating Requirements: Required to float within units of equivalent or lower level of acuity. Floating includes other high-acuity med-surg units.
